Lufthansa to carry out Abadan Airport development plan

ABADAN, Khuzestan Prov. (IRNA) -- The German company Lufthansa would implement the comprehensive development plan of Abadan International Airport, a local Iranian official said here Tuesday.
Managing director of Arvand Free Trade Zone Organization, Mohammad Abbasi, made the remark while speaking to IRNA.
He added that the plan would be carried out to make a better use of potentials of the airport in line with development of Arvand region.
He said that the German side was set to equip the airport with cargo transportation handling system, depot for storage of goods and a passenger terminal.
